In our research we asses state by measuring and understanding the distribution and abundance of species and habitats, and contributing this knowledge to the evaluation of their risk of extinction (conservation status). |
PRESSURE
We provide an understanding of the impacts of human pressure on species, habitats and system processes by: (i) modeling the factors involved, and (ii) predicting their distribution under a variety of change scenarios. |
RESPONSE
The use of research to underpin the development of responses to ecological problems, requires appropriate capacity in relevant organisations. We train professional ecologists, higher education students and ecological volunteers to develop and enhance such capacity. |
